Installing WordPress On Cloud Sites + CDN Support

WordPress is probably the most popular web application we encounter running on Cloud Sites at the Rackspace Cloud and arguably one of the most widely used web apps across the board. I’ve put together a 12 minute video walking you through the installation, setup and configuration process for WordPress on Cloud Sites. I also show the steps for easily enabling clean URLs and uploading the famous CDN Tools WordPress plugin which automatically side loads all of your static content to Cloud Files and serves it over the Limelight CDN, all behind the scenes.

In the past few months the Rackspace Cloud development team has made significant improvements to the built in file manager inside the control panel. I’ve recorded a new video demo using the latest and greatest which now has a much nicer look/feel and supports multiple file uploads.

Below is a short video tutorial I put together showing how easy it is to get up and running using the Rackspace Cloud Files platform. It demonstrates uploading content to Cloud Files through the file manager utility in the Rackspace Cloud control panel and how to enable caching through the Limelight global CDN network with just a few clicks.
