Back in high school and a few years after I was very much a hardcore Windows guy. This may be hard to believe for some of my friends and colleagues who didn’t know me back then since I’m now seen as one of the most loyal Apple “fan boys” but it’s true. So true in fact that my own mom convinced me that I should invite Bill Gates himself to my high school graduation. I had no clue what to expect and certainly didn’t think I’d even get any sort of response but I did indeed.
Yesterday while going through a lot of old things and getting prepared to move to Portland for my new gig at AppFog, I stumbled across an old letter (below). Looking back this was a very classy and respectful thing to do and I’ll always appreciate the response.
